Ingredients needed to make White Chocolate Popcorn:
This is a quick overview of the ingredients you’ll need for this Christmas Popcorn Recipe. Specific measurements and full recipe instructions are in the printable recipe card below.
- popped popcorn – grab a couple bags of microwave popcorn, or pop your own in your favorite way
- pretzel rounds – you can substitute these for any mini pretzels
- white almond bark
- holiday m&ms
- holiday sprinkles
How to make Christmas Popcorn?
- Pop the popcorn in the microwave, an air popper, or on the stove. Add it to a bowl with the pretzels, and stir them together.
- Melt the almond bark. Add the almond bark to a microwave safe bowl and microwave it in 30 second intervals, stirring after each one, until you can stir it smooth.
- Stir it together. Pour the almond bark over the popcorn, and gently stir it to coat it in the melted candy.
- Add the candies. Pour the popcorn onto a baking sheet lined with parchment paper. Sprinkle the M&Ms and holiday sprinkles evenly over the top. Let the mixture set until the chocolate is hardened, then break it up and enjoy.
Tips and Tricks
- Other candies. You can add any other bite sized holiday candies that you like. Try adding candy cane pieces for a minty twist, or mini marshmallows for a gooey treat.
- Pop your own popcorn. If you want to pop your own popcorn, you will need 1 cup of un-popped popcorn to replace the bags of microwave popcorn.
- Gifting. This popcorn is great for neighbor gifts. Package it up in Christmas tins found at the dollar store, or in some cellophane bags.
How to store leftover Christmas Popcorn?
Store any leftovers in airtight containers, or ziplock bags for up to 3 or 4 days. The popcorn will start to soften the longer its kept.
We don’t recommend freezing the leftovers, if you won’t eat it all at once you can cut the recipe in half instead.
This Christmas popcorn is such a fun holiday treat. It’s sweet, a little salty, and so good for a holiday movie night, or sharing with your loved ones!

I would like to make this recipe using store bought popping corn instead of the microwave popping corn. How much popcorn would I have to use?
Thank you ~
Aimee says
You’ll want between 20 and 24 cups!

Where is the white chocolate???
Also there is no WHITE CHOCOLATE. It does no exist.
It is white baking morsels or white baking chips. PLEASE!!
Aimee says
If you haven’t made this, please don’t give it a bad review. The recipe has almond bark, made with vegetable fat instead of cocoa butter – but you are welcome to sub that for your favorite white baking morsels or white chocolate chips

THANK YOU

I’ve found them at walmart, but if you can’t find them you should be able to use any mini pretzels instead!
