What do you need to make Chicken Alfredo Lasagna Roll Ups?
- lasagna noodles — not the oven ready kind, as you’ll need to cook them so you can roll them up
- alfredo sauce — you can use your own homemade alfredo sauce or your favorite store bought sauce
- ricotta cheese
- an egg
- seasonings
- parmesan cheese
- mozzarella cheese — pre-shredded, or shred your own
- chicken — I like to use chopped up rotisserie chicken meat because it’s flavorful and makes this so easy.
How to make Chicken Alfredo Lasagna Roll Ups?
So first you’ll need to cook your lasagna noodles. Boil some water, then cook the noodles according to the directions on their package. Probably about 10 minutes.
While the water is boiling you’ll mix your filling. It’s similar to any lasagna filling, you’ll mix ricotta, egg, seasonings, parmesan, and some of your mozzarella. Then mix in your chopped up chicken.
Pour half the alfredo sauce into the bottom of a baking pan. Spread about 1/4 cup of the chicken mixture on the top of each lasagna noodle and roll them up. Then place them into the prepared pan. Top them all with the rest of the alfredo sauce and mozzarella cheese. Bake until the filling is hot and the cheese on top is nice and melty and enjoy!
What to serve with Chicken Alfredo Lasagna Roll Ups?
- Garlic Bread of Bread Sticks
- Easy Side Salad
- Roasted Veggies like broccoli, asparagus, or carrots
- Caprese Salad
These chicken alfredo roll ups are such a hearty, and delicious meal that is perfect for any day of the week. Ready in only 30 minutes, this is a meal the whole family will love!

My husband can’t eat chicken so I’m going to try this with ground sausage instead. Has anyone tried that?
Aimee says
I haven’t tried it, but sounds delicious!
Fellishia says

Bty it says 12 but I made 20 out of it and still have enough for leftovers
Aimee says
I’m so glad you loved them!!
Annette Lain says
Can you substitute something else for the egg?
Aimee says
The egg helps bind the filling together and makes it a little richer. I would just leave it out instead.
Veronica says
Do you cover it with foil before putting in the oven?
Aimee says
No, the bake time is so short you shouldn’t have any issues with the top over cooking.
Ashley says
Have you ever substituted cottage cheese for ricotta? Wondering how that might taste..
Aimee Berrett says
I haven’t tried it but I think it should work fine! Might change the texture though
Tierney says
Thinking about using canned chicken because I’m in a time crunch. Thoughts?
Aimee Berrett says
Sorry I didnt get back to you! I think the canned chicken should work fine! I might salt it a little since a rotisserie is usually seasoned, but the rolls have a lot of flavor on their own!
LeeAnne says
I have used canned chicken before, it wasn’t bad, but not something I would choose to do unless I was short on time.
Fran says
this is a quick easy and delicious recipe especially if you use the bottle alfredo sauce rotisserie chicken and cheese already shredded quick and easy. family loved it.
Aimee Berrett says
I usually make it with bottled sauce and a rotisserie chicken too. It makes it so much quicker and its such a good meal my whole family loves as well. Glad you liked it!

If I am going to freeze this meal, do I still cook for 15 min? or do I freeze and when thawed to use cook it for the 15 min?
Aimee Berrett says
I would freeze it before baking it, then allow it to thaw in the fridge for a couple hours before baking!
Connie says
Do these freeze and reheat well?
Aimee Berrett says
Yes, we froze our leftovers and they reheated great!
Sharon says
Good to know. I’m the only one who would eat it so I’d make a batch and freeze them. These look delicious.
Kim says
Loved this! Fixed exactly like your recipe and the whole family enjoyed. Thank you.
Aimee Berrett says
So glad you all liked it!
ashley says
I made this tonight but instead of chicken I just used spinach, which turned out nicely too.

This was decent, it wasn’t amazing, but it was good. My mom and brother liked it more than I did and said they would like it again. My mother and I are vegetarians and so I made it without chicken and we both agree it was just too much cheese by itself. If I make this again, I think adding broccoli will help balance with the cheese. I did make the sauce wrong, I used 2 cups of heavy whipping cream and I didn’t have the extra ingredients to just double the recipe, and so that might have made the sauce taste quite bland. Also, I wasn’t thinking and added seasoning to the sauce without trying it first to see if it needed any, I used a little salt, pepper, garlic, and Italian seasoning, so that might have also been a problem.. Over all I think I would give this a 6.5. I would like to make it again adding broccoli, making the sauce correct, tasting the sauce before adding a little seasoning then adding a little if needed.. But thank you for sharing the recipe!

Not as great as I expected. It was a lot of work when regular chicken Alfredo is much easier…I will stick to the normal chicken Alfredo.
Aimee Berrett says
Sorry you didn’t like it Jennifer, for me it only takes a couple minutes longer than traditional chicken alfredo, but its a fun twis t for my family that we love!

Mrs Major Hoff says
Looks so yummy!
Helen says
You left out the oven temperature. Also, if you are baking these only 15 minutes you must be using “oven ready” lasagna noodles which you did not specify. I’m afraid that I’ve wasted ingredients or will end up waiting a long time for this to finish in the oven at ????? temperature.
Aimee Berrett says
I’m so sorry, I corrected the recipe with the oven temperature. You don’t want to use oven ready noodles because you boil them before so they are soft and you can roll them up with the cheese inside. They will be done in 15 minutes because everything is already cooked and just needs to get warmed.

Yum! This looks like something my family would really enjoy. I am such a fan of rotisserie chicken for helping me save time. #client
