<p>This recipe gives you juicy and flavorful burger patties that are seasoned with teriyaki sauce. We&rsquo;re then adding more teriyaki sauce to the burgers as a glaze while grilling the patties. The sweet and savory sauce pairs so nicely with the juicy pineapple, and other fresh toppings! I love serving them on a buttery brioche bun, for a homemade burger that feels like it could be from a restaurant!</p>

<li><strong>Ground Beef: </strong>I like an 80/20 beef, it has enough fat to give you a nice and juicy burger!</li>



<li><strong>Teriyaki Sauce: </strong>I like using my favorite homemade teriyaki sauce, but your favorite store bought sauce will work great.</li>



<li><strong>Cheese:</strong> You can use Cheddar, Provolone, or Swiss cheese!</li>



<li><strong>Burger Buns:</strong> I love a buttery brioche bun, they&rsquo;re soft, and toast super nicely for a little extra crunch.</li>

<p><strong>Step 1: Season the Ground Beef.</strong> Mix the ground beef, teriyaki sauce, garlic salt, and pepper in a bowl. Once combined don&rsquo;t keep working the beef, it will be tough if it is over handled. Separate the meat into 4 portions, about 1/4 pound each and form each into a patty that is about as wide as your buns. Make a slight indent in the centers, which will keep the patties from puffing up in the middle.</p>

<p><strong>Step 2: Grill the Burgers. </strong>Add the patties to a hot grill, heated to medium high heat. Flip them after about 3 to 5 min, and cook until they reach your desired doneness. Baste them a couple times throughout cooking with a small bowl of your teriyaki sauce. Add the pineapple rings to the grill, and cook them for about 2 to 3 minutes per side. Add the buns to the grill and toast for about 30 seconds until lightly charred.</p>

<p><strong>Step 3: Add the Cheese.</strong> Add the cheese on top of each patty when they have about 1 minute left on the grill. Even if you remove the patties you can still add the cheese, it will melt from the heat of the burgers. </p>

<li><strong>Burger Temperatures: </strong>Check the internal temperature of the burger patties with a meat thermometer. You&rsquo;ll cook the patties to 125&deg;F for Rare. 135&deg;F for Medium Rare. 145&deg;F for Medium. 155&deg;F for Medium Well, and 160&deg;F for Well done. The FDA recommends cooking ground beet to 160&deg;F for safety. </li>



<li><strong>Do Not Overwork the Meat: </strong>We want the burgers juicy, and tender. If the meat is over handled and overworked it will be tough.</li>



<li><strong>Add Your Favorite Burger Toppings:</strong> Add Lettuce, Tomatoes, Red Onion, or any of your favorite burger toppings!</li>

<p>Store the leftover burger patties in an airtight container in the fridge for up to 4 days. Reheat them in the microwave, a skillet, or air fryer until warm throughout. Store the toppings and buns separately, and assemble the burgers fresh when serving!</p>

<p>These juicy, sweet, mouthwatering burgers are one of my favorite burgers. I first had one in Kauai and I love that I can make this favorite at home, along with my coconut shrimp, and coconut french toast. All I need is a Virgin Lava Flow  to add to the mix! You&rsquo;ll love making these burgers that feel like they&rsquo;re from a restaurant, but now you can eat them all summer long from your back yard!</p>
