Simple maple flavored syrup but perfect on waffles, pancakes, and all your favorite breakfast carbs.
Saturdays were my favorite day because my mom made the best pancakes and we always doused them in this homemade maple flavored syrup. I grew up with this syrup and it is my favorite still. I love warm syrup still to this day.
Homemade Maple Flavored Syrup
- 2 cups white sugar
- 1 cup water
- 1 tsp maple flavoring
- 1 tsp vanilla
- In a small saucepan add your sugar and water
- Heat over medium to low heat until sugar dissolves completely, stirring occasionally
- Bring to a low boil and let cook for another 2 or 3 minutes
- Stir in the maple flavoring and vanilla extract
- Remove from heat.
- Serve hot.
