The greasiness could also be the type of peanut butter your using. I found some of the off brands had a lot of the oil, settle to the top, and even if you just stir it back in, it’s still greasy. If you have a jar of peanut butter that has grease has separated to the top of jar: poor peanut butter and the oil into a mixing bowl, and beat it until well combined. I found using Jiffy or Skippy do not have that problem.

Hi!
I tried this recipe last week as a gift for my family at St. Nicholas Day. It was very nice to have home-made sweets this year. Everybody was thrilled and it tasted so lovely.
Added some sultanas (spread them on the tray and poured the mixture on top) and sprinkled it with cinnamon for a Christmassy twist.
I will definitely make this again. (And perhaps test some other versions.) Since it’s all gone already. 😉
Thank you so much!
Best wishes and happy holidays,
Cara
Stephanie Garrison says
Once it set does it have to be refrigerated all the time. What I mean is if I leave it out will it get real mushy.
Aimee says
It will definitely be softer at room temperature, and I prefer it chilled. But it shouldn’t be mushy at room temperature
Chuck says
So easy & tastes incredible. No un-cooked sugar grit in you fudge! You gotta try this !!
Ellen says
I know it is amazing! Especially not having sugar grit. So glad you found it incredible. Thanks for letting us know.
Denise L Inzer says
This doesn’t say what size pan to pur I r in or how long it takes to set up
Aimee says
The first step says to use an 8inch square pan. It should set in an hour or two in the fridge
Chuck says
8 x 8 or 9 x 9 works great
Susan says
Should it be greasy
Aimee says
No it shouldn’t, I haven’t had this problem with the several times I’ve made this fudge, but it’s possible different types of chocolate chips being used could cause this? Can I ask what type you used?
I haven’t tested it with this recipe, but I read that multiple people added a TBS or two to their greasy fudge and reheated it up (they did stove top fudge, so I’m not sure if it would still work in the microwave) and mixed it all together and then it came out creamy, and not greasy. It might be worth a try if it’s bothersome to you, though the grease is more of a nuance and won’t hurt anything, just make it look less nice
Corrie Ann says
Mine is a bit greasy, but I added more peanut butter than the recipe called for. Once it set, it was actually ok. A very delicious!
Susan Coleman says
Can I use crunchy peanut butter
Aimee says
Yep, you’ll just have nice crunchy bits in your fudge <3
Gail says
Need the recipe & instructions please

like where are the measurements?
Aimee says
They’re in the recipe card at the end of the post. Just click the jump to recipe button at the top and it should take you straight there
Meagan says
Do you think this would work the same with Sunbuttwr in place of Pb?
Aimee says
I haven’t tested it, but I don’t see why it shouldn’t work. If the sun butter is thinner consistency than peanut butter you may need a little more white chocolate, I haven’t used it before!
Patti Kruger says
Yumm I ate the whole batch. Thanks for a super easy recipe.
Aimee says
I am so glad Patti! I usually do the same thing. 🙂
