Ingredients Needed
This is a quick overview of the ingredients you’ll need for this Nutter Butter Mummy Cookie Recipe. Specific measurements and full recipe instructions are in the printable recipe card below.
- Nutter Butter Cookies: Grab a pack from the store. You can use the whole pack, or dip half the pack.
- White Baking Chips: I like using a high quality chip like Ghiradelli, OR you can grab the Ghiradelli White Vanilla Flavored Melting Wafers.
- Candy Eyes: These can be found in the baking aisle near other sprinkles during the Halloween season.
How to make Mummy Nutter Butters?
Step 1: Melt the White Chocolate. Add the white chocolate to a microwave safe bowl and microwave in 30 second increments, stirring as much as you can after each until you can stir it totally smooth. Stir in a little coconut oil if you need help making it extra creamy.
Step 2: Dip the Cookies. Dip each cookie into the melted chocolate. You can drop them all the way in and lift them out with a fork, or hold on to the bottom of the cookies with your fingers and dip most of the way. Tap the edge of the cookie onto the edge of the bowl to let the extra white chocolate drip off.
Step 3: Add the Eyes. While the chocolate is still wet, place two candy eyes near the top of each cookie. I like pushing them right next to each other.
Step 4. Add the “Bandages”. Transfer the remaining melted chocolate to a ziplock bag. If its not melted anymore, microwave it in 20 second increments in the bowl first. Snip the corner of the bag off and drizzle the chocolate in a zig zag patter over the cookies, avoiding the eyes. Let the cookies sit until the chocolate hardens, then enjoy!
Tips and Tricks:
- Cooled Chocolate: If the white chocolate starts to thick while dipping, reheat in the microwave for 15 to 20 seconds.
- Shake of the Excess: Tap the cookies on the side of the bowl a few times after dipping them in the white chocolate this will make sure the chocolate isn’t too thick. You can also scrape the bottom layer against the side of the bowl since it doesn’t need to be as thick.
- Make as Many Cookies as You Like: You don’t have to limit yourself to the amounts I have below, make the whole package if you want. You’ll just need to melt even more white chocolate!

Storage Instructions
Store the mummy cookies in an airtight container at room temperature for up to 1 week. The eye balls will smudge a little when stored in the so I recommend keeping them at room temperature. I don’t recommend freezing the cookies, they’re easy enough to make when you want them, so don’t freeze them.

These Nutter Butter Mummies might be the easiest Halloween cookie you’ll ever make! I promise you the cookies will make everyone you share them with, smile! They’re spooky sweet, and so fun for this season!
