Halloween Popcorn Balls are delicious gooey marshmallow popcorn balls stuffed full of your favorite Halloween candies, perfect for a sweet and salty, crunchy treat!
I’ve gone a bit overboard making Halloween treats the last few weeks, and yesterday I shared the first one for the year! Our monster rice krispie treats are such a darling and easy Halloween treat, I promise you and your kids will love them! But these Halloween popcorn balls are another treat everyone will love.
I am excited to be participating in Cupcake Diaries 30 Days of Halloween Series again this year. Halloween is such a fun holiday where kids and adults alike have the chance to dress up in a cute (or scary) costume and eat as much candy as their bellies can muster. Our little one is going to be a dinosaur, I can’t wait to see him in the cute costume!
These Halloween Popcorn Balls are the perfect Halloween treat. Its a simple marshmallow popcorn recipe stuffed full of candy corn, white chocolate pretzels, and Reeses pieces for the perfect mix of flavors and crunch and of course the perfect Halloween colors too.
These little treat balls are not only adorable for Halloween, but they’re so delicious to eat as well. Such a yummy sweet and salty, gooey and crunchy treat!
These popcorn balls would be so perfect for a fun treat at a school Halloween party, or if you invite a few friends over to watch a spooky Halloween movie.

Hi; Where is the PRETZEL recipe?
Carol
Aimee says
I’m not sure where you came from, but we have several soft pretzel recipes if that’s what you’re looking for.

These were super delicious! I skipped out on the pretzels though. I also put the popcorn balls on parchment paper and made about 20-25 small popcorn bites. I love popcorn balls, but I don’t always want a huge one – just a bite. I also used coconut oil cooking spray on my hands which helped to make them not stick to my hands so I could form them in to those small bites. I’d add candy to the bites that didn’t have as much in them, and they’d stick really well. Overall, loved this recipe!

I love the idea of smaller popcorn balls. Then I can just pop them in my mouth!
Nancy says
Very difficult to add the pretzels and candy popcorn once popcorn is divided.
Ellen says
It is a little more challenging because of stickiness. But if you wet your hands down it helps. The reason for doing it after is so the white chocolate doesn’t melt in the hot popcorn. Also it helps to watch our video to show how to make.
I hope that helps.

Yum! I totally just bought one of these at a craft show, came home and saw your recipe! Haha! So I whipped it up for my kids since I’m already in a diabetic coma from the last one. I made 15 kid-sized balls I’m comfortable sending in their lunches for school. I didn’t have those specific treats so I added jujubes, mini eggs and little pumpkin candies made out of the same stuff as candy corn. Very yummy but too many large additions. The popcorn had a hard time holding them in. Smaller things like m&m’s and candy corn make more sense for the structure of the balls. Great recipe. Nice to not have one with huge gobs of added corn syrup on top of the marshmallows too!

Would this recipe work just as well with bag popcorn, popped in the microwave?
Aimee says
Totally! I’d just buy plain popcorn, or one that is lightly salted.

This is an interesting recipe….it’s almost like rice crispy treats with popcorn instead of the cereal…I bet I could make it with rice crispyes too
