Now I mentioned this dip being healthier than cake. It’s not exactly healthy in and of itself, but I did make mine a little healthier by using lite whipped topping, and neufchatel cream cheese.
I love the flavor of cream cheese, and neufchatel cream cheese has less fat and calories, but I personally think tastes the same!
I think it’s all about finding a balance in your eating, I love whole grains, and fruits and vegetables, but the occasional “fun” treat like funfetti cake batter dip is good too.
This cake batter dip tastes exactly like cake batter, but in a totally egg free, edible form. It even has a whole box of cake mix in the dip, so you know you’re getting that same delicious cake batter flavor that you love!
How do you make Funfetti dip?
This tasty funfetti dip is super easy to make! It’s made with only 4 ingredients, plus sprinkles if you want them. You will need cake mix, cream cheese, whipped topping (like Cool Whip), and milk.
You’ll beat together the cream cheese and cool whip till nice and smooth. Stir in the cake batter. The dip will be pretty thick, so you’ll add in your milk to you get a nice dippable consistency. Top with sprinkles and your dip is ready to serve.
How long does funfetti dip last?
This dip can be served immediately, or made a day or two in advanced. The dip will harden in the freezer, so set it out at room temperature to soften for about an hour before serving. Add more milk as needed.
The dip should be eaten within 3 days.
Because the dip has dairy products, it should only be left at room temperature for a few hours. Store any extra dip in a covered container in the fridge.
This tasty funfetti cake dip is perfect for taking to a party or celebration. It’s so fun for a birthday party, pool party, New Year’s Eve party, backyard barbecue, or for when you’re just having some friends over.

This recipe looks delicious, but I do have to mention that making treats with uncooked cake mix is a potential health hazard. It’s raw flour. You are supposed to heat treat in in the oven at 350°F for at least 5 minutes before you use it in a no cook recipe.
Please update your recipe for the health of others

You’re right, we’ve updated that on most of our old posts, but haven’t had a chance to update all the older ones before people learned this.

This seemed really fun for a four year olds birthday – so beside the cake I made this. I did make it all vegan and it was a hit! Served with strawberries, GF pretzels, Pretzels, Annie’s Graham Cracker Bunnies, organic grapes, organic Animal crackers. The party was adults and kids and they really seemed to like it!! I did use two cartons of So Delicious frozen whipped topping!!

I am so glad it was a big hit with your family and friends. I am so impressed you were able to make it vegan. It sounds like the party was great.
Meghan says
Can you make this the night before a party or will it not set right?
Aimee Berrett says
I’m not sure Meghan! I think it should work fine the night before, I might remix it all together right before serving.

Meghan, I just saw this. I found this dip is best fresh. It starts to set up and get thicker and thicker over time. If you can I recommend you serve it shortly after making.
