Ingredients needed:
- Glazed Donuts
- Vanilla Frosting
- Food Coloring – choose a couple fun colors for your monsters, I like blue, purple, green, and orange
- Edible Candy Eyes
- Colored Jimmie Sprinkles – get sprinkles that match the food coloring you picked
How to make Monster Donuts?
- Add the store bought vanilla frosting to the microwave for about 20-30 seconds to warm it up, and make it thinner. Transfer the frosting into 2 to 3 bowls.
- Add a few drops of food coloring to each bowl in your choice of colors, and stir them into the vanilla icing until your desired color is reached.
- Dip the tops of the donuts into the glaze, letting the extra drip off the side of the donut.
- Press your edible candy eyes into the frosting glaze, and sprinkle the Jimmie sprinkles evenly over the top of the donuts. Let the frosting set, then enjoy the donuts.
Vampire Donuts
Ingredients Needed:
- Glazed Donuts
- Plastic Vampire Fangs
- Red Decorating Gel
- If the middle hole of your donuts is small you can cut it to make it bigger. Press the fangs in the center of the donut.
- Pipe red gel down the bottom of the teeth for dramatic effect.
Creepy Eyeball Donuts
Ingredients Needed:
- Glazed Donuts or Vanilla Frosted Donuts
- Red Decorating Gel
- Gummy Life Saver Candies
- Chocolate Chips
How to make Eyeball Donuts?
- Add the vanilla frosting to a microwave-safe bowl and microwave for about 20 seconds until warm and thinner, but not runny.
- Dip the tops of the donuts into the vanilla glaze, letting the extra drip off the side of the donut. Let the white frosting set for about 10 minutes.
- Draw 5 to 6 zig zag lines from the center of the of the donut to the outside to be the bloodshot eyes.
- Add a gummy lifesaver to the center of the donut, and put an upside down chocolate chip into the center of the lifesaver.
Mummy Donuts
Ingredients Needed:
- Powdered Donuts
- Small edible candy eyes
- White Chocolate Chips
- Add white chocolate chips to a microwave safe bowl. Microwave for 30 seconds, then in 15 second increments, stirring as much as you can in between each until you can stir it smooth. Scoop the melted white chocolate into a ziptop bag, and snip the corner off of the bag.
- Drizzle the white chocolate over and across the donuts to form mummy bandages. Place two candy eyes onto the wet chocolate, then let them set until the white chocolate is hardened.
Pumpkin Donuts
Ingredients Needed:
- Glazed Donuts
- Canned Vanilla Frosting
- Orange Food Coloring
- Green M&Ms
- Add the vanilla frosting to a microwave safe bowl and microwave for about 20 seconds until warm and thinner, but not runny. Add a few drops of orange food coloring and stir it into the icing glaze.
- Dip the tops of the donuts into the vanilla glaze, letting the extra drip off the side of the donut.
- Place a green m&m onto the top of of each donut for the stem.
Spider Web Donuts
Ingredients Needed:
- Glazed Donuts
- Canned Chocolate Frosting
- White Chocolate Chips
- Scoop the chocolate frosting into a medium microwave safe bowl and microwave it for about 20 seconds to slightly melt the frosting.
- Dip the tops of the donuts into the chocolate icing, letting any extra drip off the side of the donut.
- Add white chocolate chips to a microwave safe bowl. Microwave for 30 seconds, then in 15 second increments, stirring as much as you can in between each until you can stir it smooth. Scoop the white chocolate into a ziptop bag, and snip the corner off of the bag.
- Pipe 3 circles of white chocolate over the top of the donuts. Take a toothpick and drag it through the white chocolate from the center of the donut to the outside, about 6 to 8 lines to make a web pattern.
Frankenstein Donuts
Ingredients Needed:
- glazed donuts
- canned vanilla frosting
- green food coloring
- chocolate/brown jimmie sprinkles
- candy eyes
- chocolate chips
- Scoop the vanilla frosting into a bowl and microwave for about 20 seconds to warm it up, and make it thinner. Add the green food coloring and stir it into frosting.
- Dip the tops of the donuts into the green frosting, letting any extra drip off the side of the donut.
- Add two candy eyes to the top half of the donut. Then sprinkle brown jimmies above the eyes to make the hair.
- Add the chocolate chips to a microwave safe bowl. Microwave for 30 seconds, then in 15 second increments, stirring as much as you can in between each until you can stir it smooth. Scoop the melted chocolate into a ziptop bag, and snip the corner off of the bag.
- Pipe chocolate stitches onto Frankenstein’s face.
Candy Corn Donuts
- glazed donuts
- canned vanilla frosting
- orange food coloring
- yellow food coloring
- white chocolate chips
- Microwave the vanilla frosting for about 20 seconds to warm it up, and make it thinner. Transfer the frosting to 2 bowls, and add orange food coloring to one, and yellow to another. Stir them together.
- Dip the donuts into the orange colored frosting.
- Dip the bottom third of the donut into the yellow frosting, or drizzle it over the top with a spoon.
- Add the white chocolate chips to a microwave safe bowl. Microwave for 30 seconds, then in 15 second increments, stirring as much as you can in between each until you can stir it smooth.
- Dip the top third of the donut into the white chocolate, or drizzle it over the top with a spoon. Let the donuts sit until the chocolate and frosting is set.
Dirt Graveyard Donuts
Ingredients Needed:
- glazed donuts
- canned chocolate frosting
- Oreo crumbs
- milano cookies
- chocolate chips
- mini gummy worms
- Scoop the chocolate frosting into a medium microwave safe bowl and microwave it for about 20 seconds to slightly melt the frosting.
- Dip the tops of the donuts into the chocolate frosting, letting any extra drip off the side of the donut.
- Dip the donuts into a bowl of the Oreo crumbs. Place mini gummy worms over the top and press them into the chocolate frosting.
- Add the chocolate chips to a microwave safe bowl. Microwave for 30 seconds, then in 15 second increments, stirring as much as you can in between each until you can stir it smooth. Scoop the melted chocolate into a ziptop bag, and snip the corner off of the bag.
- Pipe the letters RIP onto the top half of a Milano cookie. Cut the cookie below the letters and press the cookie into the donut.
Tips and Tricks
- Instead of using canned vanilla frosting you can use colored candy melts to top the donuts. I like the texture and flavor of the frosting better, but the candy melts will give you more of a shell if you prefer that. Melt them in small bowls according to their package directions, then dip the donuts into them instead of the colored frosting.
- Instead of glazed donuts from your favorite donut shop, feel free to make your own homemade donuts! Make homemade biscuit donuts, or baked donuts in a donut pan then decorate as instructed.

Easy Halloween Donuts (Graveyard Donuts)
Ingredients
- 16 oz canned chocolate frosting
- 12 plain glazed donuts
- 1 cup Oreo crumbs
- 24 mini gummy worms
- 1 cup chocolate chips
- 6 Milano Cookies
Instructions
- Add the chocolate frosting to a medium microwave-safe bowl and microwave it for about 20 seconds to slightly melt the frosting.
- Dip the tops of the donuts into the chocolate frosting. Tip the donut around to let any extra frosting drip back into the bowl.
- Add the Oreo crumbs to a medium sized bowl. Dip the tops of the donuts into the crumbs to coat them fully in the crumbs.
- Place two mini gummy worms on the top of each donut and press them into the frosting.
- Add the chocolate chips to a small microwave safe bowl. Microwave for 30 seconds, then stir as much as you can. Microwave in additional 15 second increments, until you can stir the chocolate smooth.
- Scoop the melted chocolate into a ziptop bag, seal the bag, and snip a corner off the bag.
- Cut the Milano cookies in half.
- Pipe the letters RIP onto each half of the Milano cookies to look like headstones.
- Press the cookie headstones into the donuts.
- Let the frosting and the chocolate set for 20+ minutes, then enjoy the donuts.
