These Reindeer Rice Krispie Treats are so easy to make with only 4 ingredients; they only take minutes to make and are the perfect Christmas treat!
These Reindeer Rice Krispie Treats are the cutest Christmas treats ever! The rice krispie treats are made to look like Rudolph and his friends with only 3 extra ingredients!
For these cute treats you can either use store bought or homemade rice krispie treats. Homemade will of course be extra delicious, but sometimes when you’re in a hurry, you can’t beat buying them from the store! Especially because the store bought treats are more uniform in size.
Ingredients Needed:
To top the rice krispie treats you’ll need candy eyes, which can be found at most craft stores and grocery stores. I’ve found them at Walmart, Smith’s (Kroger), Target, Hobby Lobby, Zurchers and more! They will either be near the sprinkles in the baking section, or in a craft or cake decorating section if the store has that.
You’ll also need chocolate chips, or brown candy melts, which you’ll melt till nice and smooth. You can just melt them in the microwave in a small bowl, which only takes about 1 minute, maybe 1.5 minutes. You’ll use these to draw on the antlers.
The last ingredient you’ll need is red and brown coated chocolate candies. You can use m&ms, or sixlets. Or if you just want to do red noses, you could use red hots, or other cinnamon candies.
These reindeer rice krispie treats would be so cute served at a Christmas party. Maybe an ugly sweater party, or a classroom party for your kids?
They’d also be a fun treat to package up and deliver to your friends or neighbors with some other Christmas treats, maybe with some fudge or some Christmas cookies. They’d be super cute packaged up individually in cellophane bags with some twine or a ribbon.
Several years ago my aunt invited me and a bunch of other cousins over to make a bunch of different Christmas treats, like fudge, peanut butter balls, cookies, and more.
She then packaged up several plated full of the different treats, one for each of us to take home, and a few more that she could give to her neighbors as a yummy Christmas treat plate. I think these reindeer treats would be the perfect addition to the plate.
How to make Reindeer Rice Krispie Treats?
Prepare your rice krispie treats using your favorite recipe for homemade rice krispie treats, or just grab some from the store. If you’re making your own you’ll need butter, mini marshmallows and crispy rice cereal.
Melt the butter over low heat in a large pot. Then add in the marshmallows and stir them until the marshmallows are melted too.
Add the cereal to the marshmallow mixture. Press the mixture down into a 9×13 pan and press the top down softly and evenly. Let them cool a bit.
Cut the rice krispie treats into 2x3inch pieces.
Add chocolate chips to a small microwave safe bowl and melt them in 30 second increments until you can stir the chocolate totally smooth. Then spoon the chocolate into a sandwich bag or piping bag.
Cut the tip off the corner of the bag and add a small amount of melted chocolate onto the back of two candy eyes and add it to the treat. Then add chocolate to the back of a red m&m and add it to the rice krispie treat below the eyes.
Draw two antlers at the tops of the marshmallow treats with a line above the eyes to the corner, then add two sets of points on each side. Let the chocolate set then enjoy these tasty treats.
Tips and Tricks:
- Stick your rice kripie treats at the bottom with a popsicle stick to make these into fun little pops.
How to store rice krispie treats?
Store the reindeer rice krispie treats in an airtight container at room temperature for up to 2 days to keep them soft. Stack them in an even layer in a baking pan, then cover that layer with wax paper or parchment paper. Add another layer of the treats on top. You can also wrap them carefully in plastic wrap to keep them extra soft.
These treats shouldn’t be frozen because the candy eyes and m&m colors will most likely bleed.
These cute little reindeer rice krispies treats are so much fun for the holiday season. Take a classic treat with some cute additions, like candy eyes, a red nose, and chocolate antlers to make them into the perfect holiday treat. They’d also be great to serve at Christmas parties!

Hi: I want to make the rice krispies reindeer with my granddaughter and give them out as Christmas gifts from her to relatives. Wondering how long these treats will keep in a plastic container.
Thanks
Barbara

Rice Krispie treats definitely have the best texture on the first day, but they should be fine for up to 3 days if they’re sealed tight.
