How to make homemade Pumpkin Spice Syrup
Step 1: Combine the Ingredients. Combine the water, sugar, pumpkin puree and spices in a small sauce pan over medium heat. Heat until the mixture starts to boil, then lower the temperature to a simmer. Simmer for 5 to 10 minutes until the syrup thickens slightly.
Step 2: Add Vanilla extract. Remove from the heat and stir in the vanilla extract.
Step 3: Pour through a strainer. Pour the syrup through a fine-mesh sieve to remove any extra pulp or spice chunks. Pour it into a clean bottle or clean glass jar to store.
Step 4: Enjoy. Use the syrup in your favorite drinks, breakfast dishes, or desserts.

We kept ours in the fridge for a few days and reheated it. I don’t know how it would do longer than that.
